On October 21, 2013 Agnes Pawelkowska, Green Gate Consulting’s President, attended The American-Romanian Business Council’s Roundtable titled “Business Opportunities in Romania”. His Excellency Victor Ponta, Prime Minister of Romania, was the guest of honor at the event.
Mr. Ponta’s presentation to a small group of Washington business leaders highlighted the importance of strengthening the U.S.-Romanian trade relations. Mr. Ponta made sure that the audience and future U.S. investors to Romania specifically remember two words from his presentation representing his country. Those words are “predictability and stability”.
The Prime Minister underlined that Romania is a reliable trade partner for the U.S. and that its unexplored potential presents interesting business opportunities for U.S. companies. He strongly encouraged U.S. investments to Romania and ensured that U.S. companies have a full support of his government while exploring business opportunities that Romanian market presents.
Today, Romania is a strong ally of the United States, and the two countries work together to build democracy, fight terrorism and promote regional security and stability. Part of that stability and security is a strong Romanian economy, which is effectively built through trade relations with the United States. Statistics show that the trade volume between Romania and the United States has been steadily increasing, reaching levels above the recorded volume in the years preceding the U.S. financial crisis.
Green Gate Consulting is looking forward to support Prime Minister Ponta’s message and to assist U.S. companies in their expansion process to the Romanian market. We are also looking forward to work with Romanian companies who are searching for strategic business partnerships in the United States. In addition, we are looking forward to strengthening our relationship with the Romanian Embassy in Washington, DC and to actively participate in its business activities.
