Magdalena Bryzek, an Advisor and Project Manager at Green Gate Consulting, supports Green Gate’s search for new cooperation opportunities for European in the United States, especially in the Silicon Valley, California. Magdalena has extensive experience in project management, marketing and business development counselling. She has been working for private companies and business-support organizations in Poland and in the United States.
Since 2012 Magdalena developed and managed U.S.-Poland Innovation Hub – an acceleration program for Polish firms expanding in the U.S. market. She provided business support for Polish companies/startups, organized their business programs in Silicon Valley, helped shape their business development activities and market-entry strategies. Based in California, she continues to be actively engaged in supporting start-ups’ development and growth in the Silicon Valley.
Previously, Magdalena worked with U.S.-Polish Trade Council and Stanford University on coordinating the Top500 Innovators – Science Management Commercialization Program in the Silicon Valley. This 9-week program for academic and technology transfer leaders from leading Polish education institutions was designed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education to bridge the gap between the fields of research and innovation.
Magdalena also managed numerous European Union (EU)-funded projects for private companies and research/education institutions. Before coming to the Unites States, she was an EU specialist at the Polish Chamber of Commerce and later a project coordinator in a private business advisory company EPRD Office for Economic Policy and Regional Development. Her area of expertise included entrepreneurship, innovation, technology transfer and commercialization. For many years, Magdalena has also been actively involved in the activities of a family-owned company headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. She was supervising the company’s marketing operations and was specifically responsible for managing all marketing activities for the Fortune500 brand Cat® on the Polish market.
Magdalena graduated with a Master’s Degree in European Studies from the Maastricht University, Netherlands and a Master’s Degree in European Studies from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She also holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations from the University of Warsaw, Poland. Moreover, Magdalena holds a post-graduate degree in Evaluation of the EU Programs from the Kozminski Business School in Warsaw, Poland.
In addition, Magdalena is a PMI-certified Project Manager (PMP®). She speaks fluent English, Polish, conversational German and French, and basic Dutch.
